Sevilla seal deal to sign Nolito from Manchester City

Nolito will replace Vitolo at Sevilla with the player joining Atletico Madrid. He has been loaned to Las Palmas until the end of the club's transfer ban

Nolito left Celta Vigo for Manchester City like a legend, but his legendary status didn't help him in England and now he has returned to Spain, even though to another club, Sevilla.

Nolito had another three seasons on his City contract but said in May that he was "crazy about returning to Spain".

First it was reported Manchester City would get around €10m, then it dropped to €9m, and now Estadio Deportivo report Sevilla are paying €8m.

However, the 16-time capped international's former side look to have missed out on his signature, with a deal in place between City and Sevilla for a fee in the region of 8 million Euro.

Completion of the deal comes a day after the Spanish club confirmed it struck a deal with City to bring in the 30 year-old, who will now travel to join his new team-mates' pre-season campaign in Japan. However, he went on to make only nine league starts in total and none of those were in 2017.

"I hope I can leave, whether it's on loan, a transfer or whatever".

Nolito also suffered to adapt to the English way of life, claiming that the weather caused his "daughter's face to change colour" last month.
