BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Announced

Today, during EVO 2017, BlazBlue developer Arc System Works announced a brand new fighting game: BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle.

"Look forward to the tag team battle that no one has ever imagined!" reads a line from the game's description (via Polygon). It had been rumored for a fighting game announcement in the week leading up to Evo 2017, beginning with this tweet from Rooster Teeth. It will also include folks from Under Night In-Birth, a visual novel and fighting game series I hadn't heard of until writing this article. RWBY is an American anime produced by Rooster Teeth. I know RWBY fans have been wanting a fighting game for awhile, so this seems like the flawless place to slip one in.

Arc System Works has yet to say which platforms BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is set for, but it did confirm the game's coming to consoles at some point in 2018.

We also know that BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is a 2D fighting game, now in development internally by Arc System Works, and it will be released in 2018 for home consoles.
