Trump: 'We Have Done More in Five Months Than Practically Any President in History'

The White House is defending President Trump after he gave a question at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron that was intended for an American journalist to a member of the Chinese media instead.

Over the past few months, the Trump administration's responses to issues arising out of the investigation into the Russian interference and any possibility of Trump camp's collusion with Kremlin has been a bit confused.

On the Mexico Border wall which President has promised since the very first day of his presidential campaign, Trump told the wall he plans to build on the southern USA border will need to be transparent - "literally". Russian Federation denies meddling, and Trump says there was no collusion.

Putin did not raise the issue of USA sanctions against Russian Federation during the two leaders' meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Hamburg, Germany last week, Trump said.

Trump said he asked the question twice, the second time "in a totally different way". He said, absolutely not.

The measure is yet to be voted on in the lower House of Representatives and Trump did not answer whether he would sign such a measure into law.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, a Republican, planned to send a letter on Thursday to the younger Trump to ask him to appear before his committee in a public session, CNN reported. "But don't forget: he's for China, I'm for the U.S.".

A federal special counsel and several congressional panels are investigating allegations by US intelligence agencies that Russia meddled in the 2016 USA presidential election and potential connections between Russian officials and the Trump campaign.

President Donald Trump has retained Washington D.C. attorney Ty Cobb in order to help his team defend against the growing controversy surrounding his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

Asked on Wednesday if he knew his son was meeting with lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya in June previous year, the president said: "No, that I didn't know until a couple of days ago when I heard about this".
