Lea Michele pays tribute to Cory Monteith on the anniversary of his death

So, spare a thought for Lea Michele, Monteith's former partner and Glee co-star, who has issued a lil' public tribute on the anniversary of his death.

"4 years and it still feels like yesterday. love you more C" with a love heart.

Lea Michele is paying tribute to her late love Cory Monteith. "But the memories. they're the best of my life", she said on his third anniversary previous year.

Her former Glee co-star, who played Finn Hudson in the hit show, died of a heroin and alcohol overdose in 2013. "Lea is deeply grateful for all the love and support she's received from family, friends and fans".

In April, the Scream Queens star memorialized Monteith with a tattoo on her rib cage of Monteith's Glee character's football jersey number. She also has the words, "If you say so", tattooed on her, which were his last words to her.

Lea has written a number of songs in honour of her late boyfriend.

Michele posted a similar message on Twitter, but she chose a different photo. "And one more ... for my quarterback.", she wrote alongside the photo of her new ink.

Michele and Monteith met while filming the long-running, award-winning musical series Glee, and they soon sparked a relationship. The pair dated up until Monteith's death.
