United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley hinted shortly after North Korea's missile launch that she would propose new sanctions on the communist regime.

It has now become incumbent on the USA and China to stop North Korea.

According to foreign press outlets on July 10, the USA submitted a new UNSC resolution draft on July 7, calling for the suspension of crude oil to North Korea and a ban on the dispatch of North Korean workers to foreign countries in response to the country's test launch of an ICBM. Officials and experts say it could test a sixth at any time, despite USA -led worldwide efforts to curb its program.

China rejected claims on Thursday that it had violated UN Security Council resolutions by increasing trade with North Korea.

Economic sanctions appear to have had little effect on reining in the military provocations of the North Korean regime under Kim Jong Un.

The analysis by 38 North, a Washington-based North Korean monitoring project, was based on satellite images of the radiochemical laboratory at the Yongbyon nuclear plant from September until the end of June, amid rising worldwide concerns over North Korea's nuclear and missile programs.

"My bipartisan legislation gives those that now conduct trade with North Korea a clear choice - either do business with this heinous outlaw regime or do business with the world's leading economic and military power", he added. His nuclear project is probably not as advanced as he boasts, but knowing that the only way to retain his power is by obtaining the deadly weapon, it seems just a matter of time before the North joins the club of nuclear states.

The legislation gives those that now conduct trade with North Korea a clear choice - either do business with this heinous outlaw regime or do business with the world's leading economic and military power, he said.

But transmitting those programs to North Koreans has always been a problem. China has a great deal of trade with North Korea.

The surprising trade data comes ahead of US-China talks in Washington next week where they are expected to assess the results of a 100-day action plan aimed at improving trade ties between the economic rivals. If China were to rule North Korea, we would no longer face an unstable leader who has nuclear bombs.

Many people in Asia-Pacific countries have negative views of North Korea.

"The Philippines is very much involved if there's unstable situation in the Korean peninsula", he said.

But Moon has also said that "dialogue is possible only when North Korea changes its behaviour", and suggested the need to develop and deploy an indigenous missile defence system, in addition to or instead of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defence (THAAD) system.

"Should the UN Security Council adopt another 'resolution on sanctions, ' this will trigger corresponding measures", KCNA cited the official as saying.
