English champions Chelsea open their title defence against Burnley at Stamford Bridge. Arsenal face some hard early tests to start of next season, as the schedule pits Arsene Wenger's team against some big rivals in the opening weeks.

A tweet from the club read: "Please note: Burnley (H) Aug 26 is the same day as the Rugby League Challenge Cup Final and will need to be rescheduled".

It will be West Ham's final friendly clash before their opening Premier League fixture at Manchester United the following weekend.

Everton commence their campaign against Stoke City at Goodison Park, while the other games on the first matchday see Southampton host Swansea City and West Brom welcome Bournemouth to the Hawthorns. Crystal Palace, now managerless, have been victorious just once in their last six attempts after only losing one of the previous 10.

The season opener for City will be on the road to newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion, who will certainly make the Amex Stadium a insane atmosphere for the team's first ever Premier League match. Their first home game against a major side is on November 18 when Tottenham visit the Emirates.
