Selena Gomez releases single, music video for 'Bad Liar'

Selena Gomez allegedly planning surprise performance of 'Bad Liar' at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards

Gomez also dropped a brief snippet of "Bad Liar", which notably features the iconic bass line from Talking Heads' 1977 single, "Psycho Killer".

Clips of the music video can be seen on Selena's Instagram, but the full video can only be watched on Spotify for now. The lyrics read, "I put my bags and I'm leaving you, You've been nothing but, a bad liar, bad liar". Naturally, there's also been a lively discussion about whether or not the song is about Justin, because this is the world we live in.

We seem to have only just scratched the surface. "She credits her fresh, sexy romance with making her feel healthier and more alive than ever before", the source said.

"Psycho Killer" was originally recorded thirty years ago for the New York City art-punk band's debut album Talking Heads: 77. With her the song, It Ain't Me, a collaborative effort with Kygo, Gomez earned her seventh top 10 single. "We want Selena to perform", @lovinmaries added amid the surprise "Bad Liar" performance speculation, while others suggested that Gomez could potentially announce her possible appearance later this week ahead of the show. "From the moment I started singing, she always reminded me that all of this was a privilege, and could be taken at any moment". But for an artist like Gomez, who just needs to be shoe-horned into a hit and copy Micheal's demo vocals, she has clearly found her dream team.

It was photographer Petra Collins who climbed the niche after this disdainful comment.

"Bad Liar" aligns quite nicely with the sonic stripping-down trend several pop artists are trying out right now. Sound off in the comments section and share your thoughts!
