Yes Bank: The bank on Wednesday reported a net profit of Rs 914.1 crore in Q4FY17, a rise of 3.5% as against Rs 882.60 crore during the previous quarter on Q3FY17.

Sector-wise, the S&P BSE metal index plunged by 203.29 points, followed by the automobile index, which dipped by 164.45 points, and the healthcare index, which fell by 145.12 points. Hong Kong's Hang Seng lost 0.4% while Japan's Nikkei 225 index ended up 0.1%.

However, the asset quality of the bank slipped, with gross non-performing assets (NPAs) or bad loans rising to 1.52 percent of gross advances as on March 31, 2017, as against 0.76 percent a year ago. Net profit totalled $992 million, a 0.8% decline on a sequential basis and an increase of 5.8% from the year-ago period. The company reported profit of Rs 3,057 crore, up 42 percent in Q4, against Rs 2,147.2 crore posted during the same quarter previous year.

Minutes into trading, it was quoting at 29,369.55 points, up by 32.98 points, or 0.11 per cent. However, Thai baht was up 0.09% and Malaysian ringgit 0.08%.
