'Fear the Walking Dead' Has Been Renewed for Season 4

AMC's The Walking Dead lost several characters over the course of its seventh season, which just wrapped up earlier this month, so that means there's room for a few of the surviving characters to step up and get some more screen time next season.

The network has upgrade co-stars Steven Ogg, Katelyn Nacon and Pollyanna McIntosh with expanded roles in Season 8.

The Walking Dead has promoted three characters to series regular status for the upcoming season eight.

Among the many things fans disliked in Season 7 was Jadis and the Heapsters who drew criticism from fans with many critics calling the group's introduction "the dumbest thing about Season 7". Led by Jadis, their odd way of talking and living was unlike anything seen on the hit AMC zombie drama before.

The Walking Dead Season 8 will apparently focus on the war between the Saviors, led by Negan, and Rick's alliance. Which is not too surprising given what looks to be an impending showdown (or possibly uneasy truce-or both-if you're leaning on the comics?) between the Saviors, the double-crossing Scavengers and the united Hilltop/Kingdom/Alexandria front. Ogg plays Simon, Negan's mustachioed right hand man; Nacon portrays Enid, Carl's girlfriend in Alexandria; and McIntosh is Jadis, the leader of the garbage dump people with the unusual haircut. Nacon is Enid, a teenage resident of Alexandria who has shown a connection to Carl. In the wake of the departure of three fan favorites - Glenn and Abraham at the hands of Negan as well as Sasha - three actors from the record-breaking TV show have been promoted to series regulars. Let's hope she gets something a little more interesting to do in season 8.

"It's been a lot of placing the chess pieces and positioning and introducing key players in this landscape", Andrew Lincoln told Entertainment Weekly in a recent interview.
