Melania Trump remind Donald how the national anthem works

Specifically, the first lady was in charge of the activities, just like every year, and this was the 139th egg race hosted at the White House, although it was the first time the Trumps had been involved.

While Obama's egg rolls were star-studded occasions, featuring the likes of Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Arianna Grande, President Trump's event was centred around, well, himself.

"She's really worked hard on this", he told a crowd on the White House lawn from a balcony of the presidential residence in Washington. "We will be stronger and bigger and better as a nation than ever before".

Trump thanked his wife for "working on this for a long time to make it ideal". Some question that starts to raise is how much do the American people pay for the 139th annual White House Easter Egg Roll? "We're right on track, you see what's happening and we are right on track".

But the egg rolling event, which dates to 1878, wouldn't be made to disappear.

There was, however, some speculation about whether the Trumps would be able to pull off a successful "egg-stravaganza".

Before joining the festivities with his family, Trump thanked his wife for "working on this for a long time to make it ideal".

"On behalf of the president and (our son) Barron, we wish you great fun and lovely days coming ahead of us", Xinhua news agency quoted the first lady as saying. Moments later, Trump blew a whistle three times, each time sending youngsters scurrying to use a wooden spoon to maneuver a dyed egg across a finish line. He said that the First Lady has worked for long just to make the event a flawless one and in line with how they want to be.

First daughter Tiffany Trump was also planning on reading later in the day, according to a tweet from her mother, Marla Maples.
