Leonard Fournette slims down to 228 pounds for LSU pro day

Leonard Fournette came into his LSU pro day weighing in at 228 pounds Wednesday, 12 pounds lighter than when his "water weight" was a big question at the National Football League scouting combine last month.

Among the topics he covered was his weight loss, down to 228 pounds: "My Mom's been on me about what I'm eating". He doesn't really need to improve on his 40-yard dash time of 4.51 seconds at the combine, which also turned heads for the opposite reason, since that's an impressive time for someone of his size.

Other than his weigh in, Fournette did a variety of agility drills and demonstrated his ability in the passing game by running a variety of routes out of the backfield or lined up as a receiver. "I'm just going to earn their respect and stay grounded".

"I felt good with my time at the combine and just kept it there", he said. "Someone who dominates the game as a single player, who wins one-on-ones, who makes guys miss", Fournette said Wednesday, via NFL Network. They said at the next level it's different. His 42 total touchdowns rank third in LSU history and his average of 6.2 yards per carry ranks first. A three-year starter for the Tigers, Adams racked up 209 tackles, 17.5 tackles, two sacks, 15 pass breakups, five interceptions and one forced fumble in his career.
