Nokia 6 Starts Receiving Android 7.1.1 These Days

The Technical Chart For The Charles Schwab Corporation (SCHW) Has Spoken

Schematics sent by an anonymous tipster to NokiaPowerUser show both the Nokia 8 and the Nokia 9 with huge screens dominating the front of the devices. The right sided smartphone is claimed to be the Nokia 9 but with no home button on the front.

Coming to its camera, it sports a 16 megapixels primary camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um sensor and a dual-tone LED flash; and a 8 megapixels secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 1.12um sensor. Nokia 9 is speculated to feature an iris scanner, so we can expect the fingerprint scanner to be placed under the display.

Meanwhile, the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 that were unveiled along with the Nokia 6 are yet to receive the new version of the Nougat OS. Another new rumor is that the Nokia 9's display is said to have an aspect ratio of 18:9. Even if now they are actually HMD smartphones, not the same Nokia we knew in the past. It would run Android Nougat out of the box. Nokia 6 International Version, which was launched in MWC Barcelona is now receiving the update as HMD Global kept its word by saying that they will be rolling out the software updates very soon while launch. Speaking of storage capacity, it has 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal memory, besides having the option of an expandable memory of up to 128GB through microSD.

There's also the Nokia 8 whose specs were also leaked a few months ago.

The Nokia 6 which was initially launched in China in January for 1699 CNY has started receiving Android 7.1.1 update.

Nokia 8 would come with Android Nougat pre-installed. No other Android vendor gets the updates out in a timely manner.

HMD Global is rumored to unveil a flagship smartphone likely called Nokia 9 sometime in the third quarter of this year at a premium price tag of Rs. 44,999.

NPU added that Nokia 9 would be priced at approximately $699 in the U.S. and Euro 749 in European markets. If Nokia chooses a design similar to this, the new Nokia 9 could become one of the kings of the high end of 2017.
