Drake Got A 'More Life' Flower Tattoo On His Arm

Jennifer Lopez

Speaking on Beats 1 Radio past year, Drake said he wants More Life to "provide a soundtrack to your life".

Drake finally debuted his long-awaited project "More Life", which he said is strictly a playlist, not an album.

Each track on "More Life" flawlessly transitions into the next; However, Drake provides enough sonic switch-ups that no two songs sound alike throughout the playlist. But there are a couple standouts like "Sacrifices" featuring Young Thug and 2 Chainz. A lover of pomp, Drake loves to build album hype, but his moves on the margins slowly morph into his major mainstream statements. In the opening track "Free Smoke", Drake raps that he sends J-Lo messages while under the influence. The playlist features collaborations with musicians such as Kanye West and UK-based performers like Skepta. He plays it off like he's not even trying- the term playlist implies something fleeting, as if Drake is just trying to get this hour-and-half of music off his mind.

And Drake might even be taking a shot at Birdman when he raps, "I mean, I keep the fucking lights on in the building / Man, my record deal should be 500 million" on "Can't Have Everything". "Teenage Fever" 15. "KMT" (featuring Giggs) 16. No other artist today has so many people listening to the radio show on a Saturday like it's the 60's, but fans tuned in and #morelife flooded social media.

Given his tenure as one of pop's most dominate artists, it's stunning that Drake only had his first No. 1 single as a lead artist past year with "One Dance".

If you just want to get Drake's "More Life" then you can simply download the MP3 album for $10.49 or you can buy individual tracks for $1.29. And if somehow you knew that your love would be untrue Would you lie to me and call me 'baby?'

Surprisingly, it may be Drake's fascination with United Kingdom grime that stands out most on "More Life".
