Cavaliers: LeBron James doing it all, as always, just better than ever

Love, who was expected to miss six weeks, played his first game in a month on Thursday in a 91-83 win over the Utah Jazz, scoring 10 points and collecting nine rebounds in 20 minutes.

Love's timely return gives Cleveland 16 games to stabilize before the playoffs begin. But just beyond the four-week mark, Love believes he will be back on the floor for game action during the upcoming road trip.

There was some good news for the Cavaliers, though, as before the game it was announced that Kevin Love would return to the team and would be starting in this game.

Kyrie Irving had 21 points before sitting out the fourth quarter due to tightness in his left knee. The chilly touch was especially evident during the final six minutes, when they mustered just four points. The Cavaliers were able to come away with a big win against perhaps the most underrated team in the league. He hadn't played in a game since February 11, and returned to the court this week instead of next because he responded so well to workouts Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Sure, the Jazz were without a pair of starters in Derrick Favors and Rodney Hood, but with the Cavaliers' injury issues of their own, neither team was going to use that as an excuse.

"I'm disappointed. I just don't like how we lost", Snyder said, pointing out the absence of those two key players while also lamenting the lack of execution and mental precision. He was healthy, but Lue opted to sit him out together with Cavaliers veterans Deron Williams and James Jones.

Lue added that Love will be on an undisclosed minutes restriction for the foreseeable future.

10 and 9 - Yes, Kevin Love was back!

"His defensive rebounding, for one", Lue said when asked what the Cavaliers missed the most while Love was out. "I just don't want to mess up any of the rhythm that these guys have, and will just go back in and play our brand of basketball". He's been hovering right around 20 minutes in each game since he came back, but against the Jazz, he was able to play nearly 30 minutes.

Love is in the midst of his best season in Cleveland, averaging 20 points and 11.1 rebounds before the injury.

"Dig deep, get some timely stops, execute offensively and just stay composed", James said about his fourth-quarter performance.

And given that the Los Angeles Clippers helped out the Jazz once again by losing last night to the Denver Nuggets, Utah maintains a firm hold on the fourth seed in the West for now with a three-game lead.

Love actually has the best net rating on the Cavaliers, further evidence of his importance to their success.
