'This Is Us' Season Finale Spoilers: "It's Definitely Heartbreaking"

ABC News Popcorn with Peter Travers to talk about Disney Channels new animated series Tangled The Series and her role on the show This Is Us

But viewers were also frustrated when This Is Us ended on a cliffhanger and failed to answer how Jack, played by Milo Ventimiglia, eventually dies on the hit NBC drama. We've already seen his funeral, but last week's hanging question was about why Kate thinks his death was her fault.

The upcoming This Is Us Season finale is finally here and fans have to prepare themselves.

Justin Hartley, who plays Kevin, shares that sentiment.

I didn't love the finale, "Moonshadow", but I respected it.

In "Moonshadow" we see an earlier, shady side of Jack post Vietnam. She explained, "Size does not equate beauty". He's taking odd jobs to pay rent for his father's attic, a father who puts him down at every turn. "We want to find a balance", said Berger. Jack wins $1,500 after playing one hand of poker, but the lone shark who lost his cash sends a minion to beat up Jack and steal back the money. He plans on robbing the card guy's bar.

Meanwhile, Rebecca is struggling with her music career and pressures to settle down. The date is not with Jack. Jack finishes his drink and then goes to search for Rebecca. Before finding Rebecca backstage, he talks with Ben (guest star Sam Trammell) and punches the living daylights out of him when Ben mentions he "crossed the line" with Rebecca. Viewers watch brutal scenes of her friends rejecting her because of her size, alongside snippets of Jack's funeral as Kate goes on to work out her frustrations within the safety of the drum circle.

The couple seethed in silence on the two-hour drive home before erupting in a terrifying argument that looked on the verge of getting physical several times.

They have a full out fight. Such a realistic marriage fight. So the next time you tell me that you love me, make sure that you're not just doing it out of habit'. She tells Jack that he needs to go stay with Miguel (Jon Huertas) for a little bit.

While he gave this powerful speech, we got brief snippets with "The Big Three", and then that was it. "You just have to appreciate life and move positively through life". Hearts and kisses, Jack! And Randall (Sterling K. Brown) has decided that he wants to follow in his parents' footsteps and adopt. But Jack Pearson never gives up. It did not reveal how he died just yet.

Let us know your thoughts on the finale in the comments! It reminded me, oddly, of watching the classic "One Minute" episode of Breaking Bad, where the audience had been primed to expect the Cousins to attempt to kill Hank at any moment, only a version where the assassination attempt never materialized. In the flashback to the day before the triplets' birth, the fireman (Brian Oblak) who brought Randall to the hospital got a whole story. The timing of the reveals have been superb. "I tell people not to focus on how he died but how he lived". I get that question all the time. According to Entertainment Weekly, we'll find out in the Season 1 closer.

So kudos to the writers of This Is Us, who, not for the first time, gave us an episode that barely touched down in the present day, trusting that the viewers who'd followed them this far would be up for almost a full hour of Sad Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) and Disappointed Rebecca (Mandy Moore), in two different periods of their past. Randall, Kate and Kevin make big decisions about their futures.

Fans were quick to use Twitter and Facebook to express their disappointment or happiness that Jack is still alive.
