Ghost Recon Wildlands open beta dates confirmed

The Ghost Recon: Wildlands open beta will run February 23-27, and you can start pre-loading the beta on Monday, February 20.

The game had previously had a closed beta several weeks ago, and the open beta will now allow everyone in, instead of those people that were lucky enough or influential enough to get keys.

Montuyoc: set in the snowy Altiplano, and the second province available in this Open Beta, is much more challenging - players who have suppressed the Itacua bosses will gain XP and skills boosts allowing them to face this unsafe area, home to Santa Blanca elite training centers.

They can, of course, jump right into Montuyoc if they wish but it sounds unwise. As with the closed beta, players can hook up with three friends and play the missions cooperatively. Players are free to utilise a large variety of vehicles, tactical equipment and weapons to get the job done. In this mission, players will "spark a war" between local militia's the Unidad and the Santa Blanca cartel.

Tom Clancy's Ghost: Recon Wildlands' release date is quickly approaching, ending a five-year gap since Ghost Recon: Future Soldier launched on last-generation consoles. Players are tasked with overthrowing the violent Santa Blanca Cartel who have seized control of the area.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 7. This gives players five days to enjoy the open beta. But Wildlands' setting and open world make it a very different beast, so you might want to try the game out prior to making a purchase.
