Trades For Kevin Love (Part One)

According to an AP report, Cleveland is seeking a second opinion for a knee injury Love suffered during Saturday's win over the Denver Nuggets.

All-Star Love was at home on the mend and set to miss six weeks due to a left knee injury, while Wiggins scored 41 points for the hosts.

21 and 10 - Replacing a player like Love won't be easy for the Cavs, but if Channing Frye, who started in place of Love, plays like he did Tuesday night for much of the time that Love is away, it will be a much easier time. He suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Eastern Conference finals when Boston's Kelly Olynyk wrenched Love's arm like a wayward branch.

The team announced Love's surgery was to remove a "loose body" from his left knee, and a six week timetable would mean the star power forward will be out until very late March or early April.

Love was one of five National Basketball Association players averaging at least 20 points and 10 rebounds and the only one in the Eastern Conference before being shelved.

Already, James has been logging entirely too many minutes, as documented by Tom Haberstroh - more than 38 per game since the start of December and 37.6 per game overall, tied with Kyle Lowry of the Raptors for most in the league.

Butler, who last played February 10 and was sidelined with a right heel contusion, played 38 minutes and hit 15 of 19 free throws as the Bulls snapped a three-game losing streak.

Forty minutes, the reporter retorted, knowing how keenly aware Lue has been in recent weeks of the spotlight being shined on James' increased playing time this season. "We'll get them eventually".

"We can't run LeBron into the ground because Kevin's out", Lue said.

James sounded confident when asked about the current situation and said, "As long as I'm in the lineup, we've got a chance".

"I've always been conscious of being efficient and my efficiency on the floor", James said. We've got one more game tomorrow, the break is coming up and I think we all can use it, including you guys. He's not wrong. It's never good when an All-Star who averages 20 and 11 is out for an extended period. That's about a nine-game decline from their 56-win projection with Love but without J.R. Smith.
