The LG G6, described in the press release below as the company's "next flagship smartphone this year", will sport a 5.7-inch QHD+ LCD display with a unique 18:9 aspect ratio (2880×1440, 564ppi). Kim Byeong-koo, senior vice president and head of mobile development group 1 at LG Display, told The Korea Herald: "QHD+ is expected to maximize users' experience and value by providing ultra-high definition, differentiating it from all other mobile display panels".

The new display that is going to be launched by the LG Display promises excellent touch responses with the company's exclusive in-TOUCH technology. Side bezels are 0.2mm thinner, while the bottom bezel is 0.54mm smaller.

Users will also be able to better view the display under sunlight as transmittance has increased 10 percent, while the display consumes about 30 percent less power than its predecessors, the company said.
