'Dancing with the Stars' crowns Olympian Laurie Hernandez season 23..

So, who won the Dancing with the Stars Mirrorball trophy this season and were the predictions right - did host Tom Bergeron announce that Olympic champion Laurie Hernandez was the victor? Watch the appearance below!

Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy wowed "Dancing With the Stars" fans and judges for 11 consecutive weeks with their fancy footwork. It really all came down to the phone call votes, and even then, it was very, very close. Hinchcliffe and Kramer had their performance issues while Calvin Johnson Jr. couldn't lift parter Lindsay Arnold properly or as they were supposed to.

Olympic gold medalist Laurie Hernandez took home the Mirrorball Trophy during Tuesday night's finale. Her partner Gleb Savchenko had been battling flu and had missed some rehearsals for the finals.

The fusion dances saw Laurie and Val impress the judges and the audience with their take on the Foxtrot, Argentine Tango, James and Sharna dance a Quickstep/Jive routine, and Calvin and Lindsay tackle a Foxtrot/Viennese Waltz.

On Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars, the final three contestants danced for the mirror ball.

"My goal is to inspire others as I go on with my journey, and thank you for being there for me", said the 16-year old gymnast.

Adding to the theatrics of the evening, former Season 23 celebrities Vanilla Ice and Gov. Rick Perry were on stage together performing "Ice, Ice Baby" together.

Laurie Hernandez is your new "DWTS" champion! The talented twosome received the first flawless score of the season on Cirque du Soleil Night in Week 4 and continued to be strong contenders. We soon learn she is joining Val and the other pros on the upcoming "Dancing with the Stars" tour.

Apparently, this is just the beginning of Hernandez's career on "Dancing With the Stars", so don't be too upset this season is over. "But I have to say, quite honestly, this was by far, for me, your best dance ever".

Also on the show, there were live dancing and show-stopping performances at both The Grove and in the "Dancing with the Stars" ballroom.
