Difference between Trump, Clinton couldn't be clearer

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton holds a healthy lead among Virginia voters over Republican contender Donald Trump, according to a poll released Friday.

Clinton saw her poll numbers bruised after FBI Director James Comey condemned her and her former State Department aides for being "extremely careless" in transmitting classified information over a private email server.

Trump's had a hard time earning support from Colorado voters.

But even while they voice concerns about their own candidate, vast majorities of voters see the alternative as far worse. In Florida, Clinton's is up by seven points: 44 percent to 37 percent.

Mr. Sanders threw Mrs. Clinton his support less than two weeks before the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, where she is to be formally nominated.

More than half of Trump supporters - 54 percent - said that they had reservations about the real estate mogul, while 42 percent said they would vote for the Republican enthusiastically.

The convention is also an opportunity for the Trump campaign to show off the GOP.

"The driving force behind voters' choices is the negative impressions they have of both Trump and Clinton".

"Hillary Clinton invented ISIS with her stupid policies". Still, our recent polling shows that younger voters, key to Sanders' primary successes and essential to a Clinton win in November, care a lot about the minimum wage and free college tuition but are less worked up about free trade deals than their elders are. Colorado respondents like Trump the least and dislike him the most at 27 percent favorable, 67 percent unfavorable.

Thursday's event with Mr Kaine gave Mrs Clinton an opportunity to gauge whether the 58-year-old Harvard-educated senator would help her fire up a crowd and make for a comfortable fit on the campaign trail.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll surveyed 1,186 likely voters across the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii.

Ninety-two percent of Americans believe Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, either broke the law or acted in "poor judgment" with her unauthorized email set-up, which consisted of several unsecured servers housed in the basement of her home in upscale Chappaqua, New York. "She led Barack Obama - because I don't think he knew anything; I think he relied on her", Trump said. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.3 points in Florida, North Carolina and Virginia, and 3.5 points for Colorado.
