14 shot outside party in Central California

Attackers have wounded 14 people, two critically, in a shooting after a party in California's Central Valley.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office said 150 people attended a house party on Stephens Drive in South Bakersfield after a social media post was widely spread.

"While numerous party goers were standing in the street and to the front of the residence, a vehicle with an unknown number of occupants drove past the residence", the statement read.

Pruitt said the Sheriff's Office's initial investigation indicates that the shooting came after uninvited guests came to the party and were told to leave. All of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals, and are expected to survive, though two of those shot are listed in critical condition.

He estimated that at least 15 shots were fired but said he had no idea who opened fire.

The 600 block of Stephens Dr.in South Bakersfield, where the shooting took place.

The suspects were described by authorities only as black males between 17 and 19 years old. When he looked out his window, he said he heard people screaming and saw at least three teens injured and lying on the ground.

No arrests have been made and there is no immediate word on a motive for the attack.
