Bernie Sanders Finally Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

Bernie Sanders officially endorsed former Democratic rival Hillary Clinton during a joint campaign event on Tuesday in New Hampshire

Trump has also been taunting Sanders on Twitter, suggesting that he has sold out his supporters. The president of Drake Democrats was a precinct captain for the liberal Senator. "I am dedicated to doing everything I can to make certain she will be the next President of the United States", he told the crowd of supporters.

Mr Sanders hopes to have a large influence on the Democratic platform.

Trump shot back with several more tweets slamming Sanders for his endorsement of Hillary Clinton and inviting the Vermont senator's supporters to back the Trump campaign.

"Would you be interested in being her vice president?"

With national polls showing Clinton leading Trump by only 3 percent, KCCI political analyst Dennis Goldford said the main threat to Clinton is Sanders supporters staying home.

I served with her in the U.S. Senate and know her as a fierce advocate for the rights of our children.

"The bottom line for us is about unity (and the Democratic) party working together this fall to defeat Donald Trump and the Republican Party", Henry said.
