Golden State star Draymond Green arrested for assault

FOX 2 obtained a copy of charges filed against Green in District Court in East Lansing that shows Green is charged with assault and battery.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was arrested for assault on Sunday, MLive reported learning on Monday. If convicted, he would face a maximum of 93 days in jail and a $500 fine. Other details of the arrest have not been released.

The All Star power forward was embroiled in post season controversy for his physical play which led to a critical NBA Finals Game 5 suspension following an altercation with Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James.

After signing a five-year, $85 million contract extension with the Warriors following the 2015 season, Green donated $3.1 million to his alma mater.
