Two children among six dead in Mayes County wreck

KMBC-TV disclosed on Sunday the names of two of the six killed in the accident: Agna Pal Singh, 34, and Annu Jha, 31.

A juvenile boy whose age was not known was hospitalized in serious condition following the crash. From there, the minivan crashed into a semi.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a mini-van with seven people hydroplaned across Highway 69 right in front of an on-coming semi tractor-trailer rig. The Tulsa World reported they were Asian.

Six family members killed in a northeast Oklahoma traffic crash early Saturday morning were from Kansas City, the Tulsa World reported.

Mayes County Sheriff's Office deputies assisted OHP troopers with the wreck.

Highway officials still cautioned drivers traveling mostly through the southeastern Oklahoma counties of Cherokee, Coal, Johnston, LeFlore and McCurtain to stay alert for closed roadways where flooding had yet to subside.
